Patriot2 This is the same antenna positioned on ANIK-E1. ANIK is located at the 118.7W orbital slot, almost due South from Long Beach. As a result, it's at "Arc Zenith", the highest point in the CONUS satellite arc for us. The local Elevation on ANIK is 50.5°. You can see that the Elevation actuator is now almost fully extended, and since we've swung the dish nearly 90° in Azimuth, the weatherboot on the Azimuth actuator is now the one getting squished.

This is a closer view of the Azimuth actuator showing how retracted it is. Most of these antenna mounts are really only meant for about 90° or so of travel, so how they're bolted down to the foundation will determine what part of the satellite arc is usable.

This is the same antenna positioned on GALAXY-9. GALAXY-9 is located at orbital slot 127W, and is the Westernmost satellite that we can see with this configuration. We could probably go another 2° West, but I really don't like running things to their limits! You can see that the yoke assembly has swung a bit further West, and the weatherboot is almost bottomed out.
